2019 Jos Trade Fair comes to a successful end in Plateau state (Details)

The Jos 2019 Trade Fair which started on the 10th of October 2017 has come to a successful close on Sunday 27th October, 2019. It was 17days of seamless Interaction, hosting hundreds of exhibitors, showcasing local products, technologies, services and opportunities, open to the general public at the Jos Polo Field.


Earlier on the Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong led other top Government officials and the DG of ITF, Joseph Ari, for a grand opening ceremony on 14th October 2019 where he commended the efforts of the organizers with a robust display of economic activities. The Jos 2019 Trade Fair being the 8th Edition was powered by Plateau Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PLACCIMA) in collaboration with ANISTA Marketing and Events Limited presented an exhibition covering all aspects of businesses, economic and tourism activities in Nigeria. The 2019 Theme: TradeFairs, A Platform For Promotion Tourism Potentials On the Plateau.

The Governor Simon Lalong, Made In Plateau Pavilion with over 35 SMEs who gained free booths was remarkable showcasing and encouraging businesses on the Plateau. The Bangladesh High Commission at the Jos Trade Fair was another high point. The presence of the High Commission for the first ever at the fair has been described as a victory for Plateau State and a Victory for peace.

The Jos Trade Fair, 2019 edition came to a climax with a closing ceremony by PLACCIMA and later a grand style shutdown at the Back To The Roots Concert with Mc Tagwaye as special guest with other amazing performances from some top artist.

Anista talent hunt competition was held where 4 winners, went home with Globacom Gift Packs and the Winners of the Dance Battle Competition had a N100,000 prize shared amongst them.

Jos 2019 Trade Fair succeeded in showcasing Plateau State to the world; The abundant human resources, agricultural potentials and products, minerals resources among other natural resources to make everyone see the potentials for investment on the Plateau.

We look forward to the 2020 edition which will definitely be bigger and better.
